About ICC Mid Peninsula Chapter
India Community Center (ICC), with its Main Center in Milpitas, and satellite chapters in West Valley (at Union Church Cupertino) and Tri-Valley (San Ramon) has launched its Mid Peninsula chapter to serve the communities in Menlo Park, Palo Alto, Los Altos, Atherton and neighbouring areas.
Our seniors enjoy various types of activities like Yoga, meditation, carrom, bingo, karaoke and listening to presentations on relevant topics by experts. In addition ICC seniors celebrate major cultural festivals and national holidays - including Diwali, Holi, Eid, Indepence Day etc.
These programs keep our seniors engaged socially, mentally, and emotionally. Many seniors have commented that ICC is their second home, eliminates social isolation and pauses their aging.
The programs would be targeted towards the Indian American Seniors, Adults, Youth and Kids in this area.
With the launch of the ICC Mid Peninsula chapter, we hope to address several unmet needs in the community. The overwhelming feedback from the community was to figure out a way to address the feelings of isolation and stress among the youth. This prompted us to drive a program supporting youth, providing them an open and safe platform to build peer to peer support and mentorship programs.
We are also adding comprehensive wellness programs for adults which includes fitness programs such as yoga, meditation and holistic nutrition programs. In addition to that we have community programs like holi, diwali, annual picnic and much more.
